Built in 1892 by a well-known family in the area, The Vonnie Louise Inn was kept in the family until the 1960s, at which point it was sold several times over the next 30 years. At one point, it was turned into multiple apartments.

In 1997 it was bought by a great-granddaughter of the original owners. She worked to restore the house to its original grandeur while including modern conveniences. In 2020, the home was purchased again to be used as a small boutique historic Inn.
